BGO promotes a corporate culture that attracts and retains the highest caliber people. The Opportunity: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine handyman duties. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating contractors and ensuring the physical condition and appearance of the building are of the utmost standard.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure that the assigned building or complex of buildings is being managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency.
contribute as an integral part of a building operations team.
schedule annual maintenances and ensure safety standards are in compliance.
be familiar with the electrical and lighting systems in the building.
maintain an inventory of parts and supplies.
monthly testing of emergency generator.
assisting with preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
general maintenance including food court and general housekeeping such as sweeping, litter pick up, shoveling and pressure washing.
participating in corporate occupational health and safety program.

Experience - previous maintenance/construction experience ; work experience in commercial / retail building operations an asset but not a requirement.
Entry level use of Microsoft Office
Working Environment - on occasion requires involvement in repairs or maintenance in inclement weather or uncomfortable environmental working conditions; In addition to base pay, eligible BGO employees participate in various incentive compensation plans, based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
