Strategist, Contract Position - 15-18 months

Our Strategists bring clarity, simplicity and accountability to the tough strategic choices businesses and brands must make in an increasingly complex world. They are responsible for delivering excellent strategic output for our clients and creating strong strategic foundations for our world-class creative work. The work includes consumer insights/trend analysis, brand positioning and architecture, portfolio segmentation, integrated communication and campaign planning across traditional and digital, research oversight, and creative brief development.

Our Strategists offer a blend of opposing attributes - fearless and gracious, optimistic and skeptical, creative and analytical, thoughtful and action-oriented. They lead all strategic initiatives for their home agency, working as a collaborative thought partner with our Account and Creative Directors, Client Engagement or Agency Presidents to identify opportunities, inspire new thinking and develop the path forward for our clients’ business, brand, marketing and communication strategy needs.

Lead strategy projects from start to finish providing your partners with a clear and compelling point of view

Develop core brand positioning and messaging for new and existing brands and transition core positioning to communication and campaign plans across traditional and digital mediums

Develop brand & portfolio architecture/segmentation plans

Uncover consumer insights/trends that illuminate relevant opportunities for brands and thought leadership for the agency

Translate strategic foundations into actionable insights for creative briefs

Craft brand stories and deliver presentations that influence clients

Partner with Client Service and Creative teams to accurately scope costs, timing, resources and deliverables

Activate agency brand-building tools while also looking to evolve the discipline and tools to meet changing needs

Build healthy working partnerships with business and/or project leads

Manage multiple projects & timelines

10 + years of experience in strategic planning or consulting role with agency experience

Experience in core areas of work - brand positioning, messaging, marketing, communication & campaign planning, research oversight, consumer insights

Creative & analytical thinker

Collaborative, curious, data-driven

Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings/engagements (local & US)

2 days remote

Full-time, contract position starting June 2024 with base salary & vacation

Contract runs June 2024 to October 2025
