Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring a large fleet of RMX Drivers while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the dispatching process. The Dispatcher must communicate effectively with the RMX Drivers, Batch Plants, and Distribution team through regular phone calls and two-way radio systems to ensure accurate and timely concrete delivery. Dispatchers must also possess a strong directional orientation and a working knowledge of roadways in the GTA and surrounding areas in order to optimize RMX fleet resources based on project locations. Dispatchers must be computer savvy and demonstrate the ability to learn concrete shipping software and other required dispatching technologies.
Dispatchers are required to work three types of shifts:
Monday – Friday:
Opening Shift (05:30 – 13:30)
Middle Shift (08:00 – 16:00)
Closing Shift (11:00 – close based on customer requirements).
Dispatchers also work on rotation for Saturday shifts as an opportunity to collect overtime hours, and all Dispatcher should be flexible and able to work all shift types.
Accurately and efficiently manage a large fleet of drivers over several batch plants to ensure on time delivery to our customers.
Handle customer complaints by troubleshooting service and quality related issues; Administrative duties as required.
1-3 years of work experience
~ Dispatching experience is an asset
~ Related construction field experience is an asset
~ Computer Proficiency – experience with Microsoft Office and Google Maps; Command Concrete is an asset
~ Superb radio / phone skills – ability to professionally handle calls in a fast paced environment
