Clinical Lead, Nursing

* Five (5) years of clinical experience as a nurse in an acute care environment
* Three (3) years of nursing management experience with demonstrated leadership ability *Required Licensure, Certification or Registry*
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
* Must have current BCLS certification. *PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*_ *Quality & Safety*_
* Ensuring clinical competency of nursing staff (including appropriate licensure requirements) and promoting evidence-based best practices while building a culture of continuous improvement.
* Leading monthly team meetings to share information, address operational and clinical issues, discuss opportunities for quality improvement, communicate safety and security procedures, and discuss new policies and procedures.
* Acting as a lead for SERS (Safety Event Reporting System) in collaboration with the operations team. _*Empathy*_
* Collaborating with Physician Lead, EHP and Senior Manager, Patient Experience to monitor and improve patient, physician, and team satisfaction. _ *Teamwork*_
* Coaching and mentoring direct reports including establishing annual objectives and conducting annual performance reviews.
* Providing hands on patient care to support EHP and other clinical duties as required. _ *Integrity*_
* Collaborating with Medical Director and other clinical leads to develop and implement policy development including medical directives.
* Review financial performance of the service lines to ensure appropriate nursing staff support. _*Inclusion*_
* Connecting with other Cleveland Clinic global locations to discuss and share best practices ensuring consistency across the organization. _ *Innovation*_
* Establishing Orientation Core Curriculum and supporting the professional development plan for all nursing personnel.
