Overview :
As part of the Strategy & Governance IT group, this senior managerial position is crucial for realizing WSP Enterprise IT's vision: 
To contribute to the development, update, and implementation of the IT strategy and governing its execution. Leading the creation, revision, optimization, enhancement and enforcement of governance and performance standards in IT, ensuring consistency and alignment across service delivery and resource utilization. The aim of this team is to optimize resources to increase efficiency and service quality.
The Enterprise IT Performance & Governance Director is responsible for setting up and enhancing the IT Governance at the enterprise level as well as ensuring IT performance meets WSP expectations.
In this role this leader will foster a culture of cooperation and alignment among teams and with common objectives, demonstrating exemplary team collaboration by example.
Responsibilities :
Performance:
Ensure IT performance meets enterprise expectations by establishing aligned business outcomes.
Monitor & foster progress for various key IT services, strategic objectives and contributors.
Evaluate the progress and impact of the IT strategy and roadmap and expected KPI on a regular basis.
Identify and communicate any gaps or risks that may affect the achievement of the desired outcomes.
Report and celebrate the successes and learnings.
Optimize Resource Utilization: Identify and implement strategies to optimize IT financial resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
Governance:
Develop and implement a unified and streamlined framework for IT processes across all regions especially service level reporting and financial management. 
Promote consistency in service delivery, decision making.
Ensure uniformity in performance standards throughout WSP.
Align IT capabilities with business goals and needs.
Analyze the current state of IT, identify gaps and opportunities, and design and implement solutions that optimize IT performance, value, and alignment.
Oversee process optimization and digital transformation of the Governance team, proactively identifying opportunities and assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities.
IT Workforce Management: 
Implement proactive strategies to maintain a robust IT workforce. This includes regular skills assessment, performance monitoring, and succession planning to ensure continuity and adaptability in the face of changing IT needs and trends.
Continually enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes through reengineering efforts and implementation of best practices. 
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to equip the IT workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge to support reengineered processes and emerging technologies.
Others:
Support and liaise with many if not most Enterprise IT Teams to ensure sound communications that will promote alignment and effective results.
Provide coaching, oversight and guidance to staff
Education/Certification :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, or equivalent experience.
Detaining one of the following certifications or equivalents is a plus:
MBA (Master of Business Administration)
ITIL/COBIT (Information Technology Infrastructure Library/Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies)
Six Sigma (Or similar techniques and tools for process improvement) 
Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT ( CGEIT )
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control ( CRISC )
Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer ( CDPSE )
ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer

Bilingualism:
~ Fluency in English is mandatory as the role requires daily communication in English at a senior level. A working knowledge of French would be a significant advantage.

Experience:
~15+ years of experience in management in an IT context.
~5+ years of experience in digital/business transformation programs.
~ Experience in governance processes.
~ Experience developing budgets, forecasts, and effectively monitoring them.
~ Experience in process optimization.

~ Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with IT teams, peers, and contributors. This includes conflict resolution, negotiation, and effective collaboration.  Ability to  build relationships and communicate effectively to positively influence peers and other stakeholders.

~ Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication. Proficiency to prepare clear and concise reports, and to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences, including Senior Leadership.

~ Strategic Thinking : Competency to plan value added initiatives, set budgets, delegate work, adopt an open-mindedness to change and challenge status quo.

~ Team Management : Ability to guide and inspire other professionals and help them reach company goals. Provide the help needed and help address issues and risks. Encourages high-quality work and productivity.

~ Strong business Acumen: Capacity to understand business opportunities and to find sound and effective solutions that support the business. Understand and promote IT/Business transformation initiatives to help WSP reach its corporate goals.

~ Technological Expertise: A strong understanding of how to use technology to improve business processes. This includes staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in the IT field.

~ Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets and understand financial implications of decisions.
