Position Summary:Our client, a premier sports and entertainment venue is seeking a Director of Facility Operations. This role involves overseeing daily operations to ensure the facility runs smoothly and meets high standards.Key Responsibilities:Manage and schedule all aspects of facility operations, including staff, engineering, maintenance, safety, and security.Coordinate operations with other departments and contractors to ensure event readiness.Implement and update departmental policies and procedures.Identify and resolve operational issues, conducting regular staff meetings to address concerns.Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth facility usage.Oversee the maintenance of all venue systems (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural).Train staff according to safety regulations and maintain compliance with safety records.Manage and update preventative maintenance software, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.Ensure the venue meets all building, fire code, and certification requirements.Maintain the Master Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) log and ensure proper use of PPE.Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.Supervise and evaluate full-time and part-time operations staff.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in facility operations, including 2 years in a management role.Knowledge of facility operations, with experience in ice resurfacing and HVAC/R systems.Relevant certifications in HVAC/R/Refrigeration are an asset.Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software.Additional Requirements:Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the event schedule.Successful candidates must pass a background check (criminal, credit, credential, and references).
