Job Summary:

Volaris is looking for a Corporate Development Senior Analyst, who will be an integral member of Volaris’ deal sourcing team. The Corporate Development Senior Analyst will work closely with members of the senior management team to identify, qualify and manage, acquisition opportunities within the global market.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Volaris is looking for a Corporate Development Senior Analyst, who will be an integral member of Volaris’ deal sourcing team. The Corporate Development Senior Analyst will work closely with members of the senior management team to identify, qualify and manage, acquisition opportunities within the global market. A successful candidate for this role will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in business development (including sourcing, cold-calling, pitching targets) with an interest in software businesses.

Experience in Sales, Software Companies, or Startups is a plus. This role is ideal for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, high integrity, excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate likes to take initiatives and ownership of work, be resourceful in problem-solving, and can think independently. The person needs to be detailed oriented, curious, and willing to learn.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics
  • Add new prospects to our proprietary database of industry contacts and continuously manage the pipeline
  • Plan, develop, and conduct prospecting campaigns through LinkedIn, email, calling, attendance at trade shows, and in-person meetings
  • Engage owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders in meaningful dialogue
  • Nurture leads regularly and over long timelines, helping to progress prospective targets through the pipeline
  • Gather, analyze, and present target company financial information
  • Provide support in the later stages of the acquisition process including due diligence, legal, and transaction execution

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field is preferred but not required
  • 2 years of experience in business/corporate development, investment banking at a boutique firm, or sales/marketing at an early-stage startup
  • High curiosity and drive to connect with business owners and learn their stories
  • Strong telephone communication skills and capable of establishing and building rapport remotely
  • Solid understanding of company financial information
  • Advanced time management, attention to detail, organizational, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, with an ability to respond to changing work priorities, pressure and demands
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and think independently, and open to learning and sharing new ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a collaborative manner with the senior management team
  • Can speak multiple languages (is a plus)
  • Ability to travel (25-50% of the time) when safe
