Your commitment to confidentiality, understanding of the Wellness Model of Care, and familiarity with assessment tools and pharmacological therapies make you an ideal fit.
Must Haves
Graduate of a recognized school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Current RN registration in good standing with the BCCNM
Minimum of two years of experience in nursing, leadership, supervising and managing the performance of teams in a Care environment, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Five years Health Care Management experience; or equivalent combination of education, and experience
About The Role
Adheres to BCCNM standards for scope of practice.
Promotes multi-tasking and multi-skilling for active living and continuity of care.
Participates in care and service delivery plan development.
Coordinates admissions, discharges, and move-in assessments.
Effectively communicates with family members, physicians, and community care.
Leads medication reviews and participates in resident care conferences.
Contributes to strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Provides administrative support in the absence of the Director of Care.
Anticipates and plans for long-term situations in collaboration with the Director of Care.
Collaborates in hiring and maintaining an adequate number of team members.
Conducts interviews, selects new team members, and evaluates internal postings.
Oversees the orientation, training, and development of team members.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to assigned team members.
Leads the team through the accreditation process.
Manages performance, conducts evaluations, and collaborates in disciplinary processes.
Maintains compliance with policies, legislation, and care regulations.
Document observations, interventions, and outcomes for safe care.
Provides shift change reports and report incidents according to policies.
Presents the monthly Resident Care Department report to the administrator.
Maintains professional relationships with residents, family members, and community partners.
Facilitates positive relationships among the team and residents.
Participates in meetings, committees, and educational sessions.
Creates collaborative partnerships with key partners and organizations.
Collaborates in preparing the department budget and overseeing expenditures.
Assumes responsibility for personal and professional development.
Attends workshops and training sessions for skill development.
Maintains the professional competencies required for licensure.
Establishes, influences, and supports a culture of health and safety.
Demonstrates safe working practices and encourages team members to work safely.
Identifies hazards, ensures training, and enforces compliance with safety regulations.
Participates in safety meetings, investigations, and resolution of hazards.
Implements controls for identified workplace hazards.

What You Receive
We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring an annual salary range of $102,000 to $112,000. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous 20 days of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matching contribution and support for your ongoing professional development.
