Job Title: Electronics Project Engineer

Paradigm Electronics is seeking a talented and motivated Electronics Project Engineer to join our Ottawa team. This role offers a distinctive blend of technical and managerial responsibilities. Working under the senior Technical Project Manager, you'll gain firsthand experience overseeing the enhancement of our flagship AV Receiver product line. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical foundation in electronics engineering, exposure to embedded software development, and experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Responsibilities
  1. Write detailed technical specifications for the product and its subsystems.
  2. Take part in designing, prototyping, experimenting, testing, and optimizing circuits for high audio performance.
  3. Help coordinate and assist with prototype functional and performance verification in a lab environment.
Managerial Responsibilities
  1. Assist in managing the entire AVR development program from concept to mass production.
  2. Coordinate activities of shared internal resources based on project schedules and priorities.
  3. Support coordination between the company and external partners to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on electronics design experience, familiarity with embedded systems development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. Certification in Project Management (PMP) is a plus.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of audio electronics hardware.
  • Familiarity with audio test methods and performance specifications.
  • Experience with audio/video test equipment (e.g., Audio Precision).
