Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of solid experience in Family Law litigation. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties related to Family Law matters, with a focus on litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Family Law Rules, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Preparation of Court documents for service and filing at the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice throughout all phases of Court proceedings.
  • Proficiency in preparing and understanding financial disclosure documents.
  • Correspondence with clients and the Courts in a professional manner.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseload effectively.
  • Diligence in keeping clients informed about their matters and accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Member of the Ontario Bar association.
  • Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in Family Law, particularly in Family Law Litigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with programs such as DivorceMate, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Office 365.
  • Strong judgment, critical thinking ability, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload.
  • Adaptability to the changing legal landscape and innovation in support of strategic business goals.
