We are looking to hire a Software Architect for our client in the payments and authentication technology space. They are on a mission to redefine how to protect user identity, providing users secure control over personal information through a privacy compliant network. Their enterprise platform consists of three key pillars: strong authentication, user privacy and identity, and uses a combination of biometrics and tokenization.
They are based in the Valley and Toronto, funded by Visa and other strategic investors , and are experts in security, encryption and tokenization. They are looking for passionate team members to help build them into a global leader.
About the role
They are looking for a driven, ambitious and self-starting Software Architect. Reporting to the CTO, you will help work with internal leaders to proactively manage projects and deliverables and ensure cross-functional alignment of upcoming changes. You'll be part of a highly collaborative team, you'll be whiteboarding, designing, and discussing technology with team members.
In terms of the role and responsibilities, you will
Design and develop scalable software architectures required for the successful execution and delivery of business solutions.

Communicate architecture plans, including future roadmaps to all stakeholders.

Provide innovative approaches to new solutions that contribute to the achievement of the organization's targets and delivery of business outcomes.

Ensure that solution architectures adhere to best practices.

Participate in business discussions relating to opportunities that may be enabled or facilitated by technologies. Solve business problems by creating technical solutions, with involvement from brainstorming to production rollout.

Their current code base includes technologies like Typescript, Nodejs, Go, and VueJS. You have also deployed containerized solutions with Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh and Secrets Management and have significant experience working within the AWS environment. They use an agile approach to project management and software development across the engineering team.

Payments platform development with authentication

Block chain and authentication

Developer focused APIs/SDKs for authentication

About You
As a Software Architect, you've encountered and solved problems across the full server-side stack. You are a guru in helping deliver rock solid system architecture, which includes implementing, and testing new features or capabilities. You get excited about new technologies and helping build transformative platforms. In addition:
You are a Software Architect or Solutions Architect

You have 7+ years of experience building and scaling web infrastructure and applications

Professional experience in payments, ecommerce, or blockchain

Experience developing technical roadmaps

Knowledge of solution delivery and software development practices, application release and deployment, and automated testing, including source code control, build / package, environment configuration and monitoring.

Strong knowledge in AWS Cloud Technologies

Experience with APIS and SDKs

You are familiar with industry-wide processes, patterns and practices

You can collaborate across multiple teams

You understand and can implement testing strategies

You have strong verbal and written communication skills

You are a team player

Other Qualities We're Looking For
Ability to de-construct complex business requirements and the ability to think out of the box

Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change

A passion for delivery and a willingness to focus on the achievement of milestones

Learning new technologies such as biometrics, blockchain is a plus

Experience in identity, authentication and payments is a bonus
