Your mission

Reporting directly to their clinic Center Director, the Nurse's main responsibility is to provide constant care to patients prior to and following surgery.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring patients when they are still under the effects of anesthesia;
  • Connects the patient to devices such as monitoring equipment, and to intravenous therapy for fluids and pain medication;
  • Pain intervention;
  • Accurately complete all administrative tasks associated with the position; i.e. complete notes on the charts, complete reports and verify inventory on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; communicate information in verbal or written & complete any forms required by the facility;
  • Thoroughly prep the OR for surgery-sterilize instruments, set up tools needed, etc. Account for all used materials.;
  • Calibrate lasers and run tests regularly;
  • Assist the ophthalmologist during procedures;
  • Any other tasks as per required by the Center Director or management team

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal;
  • Strong observation skills, be able to think critically, and be able to make quick and effective decisions;
  • Exceptional multi-tasking & organizational skills;
  • Excellent use of judgment;
  • Ability to work as a team and autonomously;

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse;
  • Attended an accredited perioperative course. (Required)

Th is is a permanent, part-time position . We offer a competitive compensation, and benefits. Candidates must be willing to work at minimum 24 hours per week , on a flexible schedule (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Mondays or Saturdays may be required, depending on the weekly surgery schedule).
