Our Halifax office is currently seeking a Lawyer to join our Employment & Labour practice group.
Day-to-day strategic advice on a variety of labour and employment matters including discipline, terminations, application of several different pieces of legislation, human rights matters, labour arbitrations employment contracts.
Providing client advice, develop appropriate labour relations and litigation strategies, and preparing written and oral arguments.
Drafting and providing legal advice in relation to negotiating settlement and/or severance agreements.
Drafting and negotiating employment policies and contracts.
Four + years of relevant work experience;
Demonstrated excellent advocacy, conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills;
Strong research and writing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues;
Experience independently handling arbitrations considered an asset.
Candidates must be a member in good standing with a Canadian Law Society and should submit a resume and covering letter detailing relevant practice experience.
