This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) supplement of 5% of gross basic salary.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Prince Charles Eye Unit in Windsor.
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is a proud organisation in developing our staff to further their training & knowledge in a Healthcare environment.
To develop Ophthalmic knowledge with in-house training.
To ensure patients, visitors and colleagues are supported to ensure all patients visits to the unit run effectively and care needs are met.
The CQC recently rated the care provided by the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as Good.
To provide high quality fundamental care to patients under the supervision a Registered Practitioner in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner:
Providing individualised care for a diverse group of patients respecting personal beliefs and preferences.
To be actively involved in providing supervision and guidance to junior/less-experienced staff.
Successful completion of Trust's Band 2 Developmental Passport or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of competence.
NVQ / QCF level 3 in Health or Health and Social Care.
Completed Care Cerificate
Experience as Health Care Assistant within an acute hospital environment or equivalent setting.
Ophthalmology Experience.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
