I'm looking for a Network and IT Security Administrator for one of our clients, located in Montreal. This is a permanent position. Salary varies according to experience ($90,000 to $100,000) - on a 40-hour week basis.

  • Install, configure and maintain network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Supervise network performance and resolve connectivity problems.
  • Guarantee the availability and reliability of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and wireless networks.
  • Implement and manage security solutions (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS).
  • Monitor and analyze security events to identify and respond to threats.
  • Manage user access and enforce security policies in line with industry standards.
  • Carry out regular security audits and suggest improvements to enhance system protection.
  • Carry out regular backups of critical data and ensure their restoration in the event of an incident.
  • Provide technical support to internal users on network and security issues.
  • DEC in computer science and networking
  • At least five years' experience in a similar role
  • Significant experience in network administration and IT security.
  • In-depth knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, etc.) and network equipment.
  • Mastery of security tools (firewall, IDS/IPS, antivirus, etc.).
  • A good level of English (spoken and written) for exchanges with colleagues and partners outside Quebec.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, adaptability and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and organize work.
  • Problem-solving skills, creative and innovative thinking.
