Elevate your career as an Associate Director of Finance with Sun Life Private Wealth Bermuda. This pivotal role focuses on financial accounting, IFRS reporting, and governance activities while offering a hybrid work model. This senior position demands a finance subject matter expert specialized in delivering precise financial close processes and regulatory filings. You will collaborate closely with teams in Finance, Actuarial, and Product Development to ensure compliance and facilitate finance transformation initiatives. A strong understanding of IFRS 17 and Bermuda Solvency Capital Reporting is crucial for success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
- Prepare and coordinate Bermuda Monetary Authority regulatory filings
- Generate quarterly and annual IFRS financial statements
- Manage external statutory and IFRS audits effectively
- Maintain Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) environment
- CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting designation
- Minimum of 7 years in accounting, preferably in life insurance
- Big Four audit or advisory experience preferred
- Expertise in financial reporting systems, particularly SAP
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on IFRS 17 compliance
