Our client provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to various industries, including mining and metallurgy, oil and gas, environment and water, infrastructure, and clean energyThe successful applicant will be a senior Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer with a proven technical and project management track record. The role will include the execution of complex and major programs, supporting complex proposals, mentoring of junior staff, as well as act as technical reference, and therefore good communication skills are essential.What will you contribute? The candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or geology with a post graduate qualification in a geotechnical subject and have a minimum of 15 years’ pertinent experience.Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capability by building on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.Candidates should have – Extensive experience in one or more of the following sectors: highways, rail, municipal, industrial, commercial or residential geotechnics.A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc or equivalent)Professional Engineering License in Ontario, and ideally Quebec.Proven experience of acting in a senior role in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.Project management - experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, and work planning.Proven geotechnical design experience.Application of Design Standards and Guidelines in a design and ground investigation environment.Proven geohazards and geotechnical investigation experience.Experienced in general geotechnical numerical softwareExcellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to support the development of teams.Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.Excellent report writing skills with the ability to peer-review and produce quality deliverables.A willingness to travel on short assignments both within Ontario and nationwide.A valid driving licence.Protech Solutions Inc. is an equal opportunity employer devoted to providing an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants.
