Data AnalystWant to work for Canada’s most trusted brand? CAA Saskatchewan wants youOur technology services department is looking for a Data Analyst to design data modeling / analysis services used to mine enterprise systems and applications for data. This will include managing back-end data sets including our data lake and data repository as well as working on and tuning our machine learning models. The successful candidate will also be charged with investigating how we can use modern technology such as cloud services and machine learning to better analyze our data and bring value from the data to our business units. The successful candidate will also be required to handle Service Desk calls to support our employees across the organization. They will also be participating in the after hours support which is rotated on a weekly basis. This individual must have the ability to work autonomously and have a “get it done” attitude. When required they will have to perform research to troubleshoot issues that arise. They will be supported by the rest of the Technology Services team and will report directly to the Director Information Technology. We are a small team and maintaining a positive team dynamic is a must. Regular working hours for this position is 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday. There will be some travel required to CAA Office located through the province.This position will have the opportunity to grow through the years as training and investigation into new solutions for our infrastructure are encouraged.Key job responsibilities and duties include:Devise, develop and deploy required data queries in response to business user needsIdentify research questions, problem solve using data analysis and communicate the results to stakeholdersCollaborate with business lines to integrate data from various systems into the central data mart and data lake to be used for reporting and analytic purposesMaintain data access, data consistency and data integrity for all reports and dashboardsDevelop automation tasks using SSIS or other scripting / programming languages to automate the flow of data between systems or to end usersMonitor and maintain MS SQL database and report performance and implement efficiency improvementsResearch and test modern data technologies to utilize cloud service and machine learning to grow the data analytics of the companyHandle service desk calls from employees and assist them with their incidents and service requests. This may include but is not limited to devices setup, password resets or application troubleshooting. Requirements to apply for this position include:A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalentExperience in Windows Server and Linux operating systems Working technical experience with databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Data Lake’sWorking technical experience with SQL queries including MS SQL, AWS Athena and other query languagesExperience with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS including the SSRS Mobile DashboardsExperience with cloud hosted databasesWorking knowledge of XMl and JSON markup languagesWorking knowledge of scripting / programming languages such as PowerShell, batch and C#Strong knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience with Power BI is a bonusProven analytical and problem solving skillsGood organization and time management skillsAbility to work autonomously and as a teamExcellent customer serviceDetail-oriented with an eye for optimization opportunities Apply by June 28, 2024
