Mechanical Maintenance Manager - Underground
We are working with a publicly traded Canadian Gold company with core competencies in exploration, development, and production. With an extensive portfolio of operating assets in the Americas , they are currently in the development stage for their brownfield asset in Ontario. As such, they are looking for a Maintenance Manager (Underground) who will be an integral part of their Senior Leadership team .
This is a great opportunity for someone to take something through from construction to production. You will bring years of experience to develop, implement and sustain all maintenance and site services.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will provide support and develop strategies to establish the overall efficiency, cost-effectiveness, site budget, safety, and corporate goals of the mine.
This is a residential (drive in / drive out) position, with a rotation of 4 days on / 3 days off , with a 10-hour daily schedule.
Oversee accurate, timely mechanical maintenance processes, addressing queries and implementing solutions with sound judgment.
Adhere to, and suggest improvements for, mechanical maintenance quality standards and methodologies.
Generate maintenance reports and maintain relevant documentation.
Ensure maintenance strategies are preventative, predictive, and effectively revised to meet targets.
Manage and guide on-site contractors' daily tasks.
Implement best practices in maintenance and supply chain management.
Assist in hiring maintenance personnel in collaboration with senior supervisors.
Set clear performance expectations for employees, conduct reviews, and offer feedback.
Handle administrative tasks like time entries, vacation scheduling, and team leadership.
Foster a high-performance culture, prioritize workplace health and safety, and investigate incidents.
