This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Cloud Services. What you will do:Lead the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of Nutrien’s initiatives in cloud computing with a focus on the design of services that run on both on-premises as well as cloud platformsWork closely with software developers and system/database engineers to understand requirements and participate in design discussionsDemonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processesDevelop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the Nutrien’s application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloudMaintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud servicesContribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasksDefine optimal database design (Structured and un-structured) patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applicationsConduct performance, scalability, and reliability tests of business tools, third party and cloud applicationsDrive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deploymentProvide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operationsDemonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how cloud technology can support these effortsAdvocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systemsWhat you will bring:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other closely related subject8-10+ years of experience with a background in technical architecture, application development, middleware, database management or operations Server admin skills for Windows/LinuxRequired 3+ years of software/application development experience OR Solution Architecture and OperationsExperience with AWS, Azure and other Cloud Platforms.CICD – Terraform, Circle CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira, GitHub, Ansible, AWS Systems Manager, etc.Experience with the monitoring and analytics of CloudHealth, Azure Monitor, Service NOWSecurity – Azure AD, MS MFA, Prisma, SplunkScripting & Languages – Python, Bash, JavaExtensive hands-on experience and thorough understanding of AWS & Azure architecture, development, deployment, and test automation consuming cloud native servicesExperience and thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum development, DevSecOps, CI/CD process and toolsDedication to continuous improvement and optimization of Cloud offeringsInnovative and ability to think outside the box for creative problem solvingAWS-Certified Solutions Architect – Associate PreferredAWS-Certified Solutions Architect - Professional PreferredMicrosoft-Certified Azure Fundamentals Preferred Are you a good match?
