Calm Air International is a regional airline serving the Northern part of Central Canada. At Calm Air International LP, we value our customers, passengers, and the communities we serve. This position will have the opportunity to share their skills at all our bases throughout Manitoba and Nunavut and gain experience at a wide range of facilities.
Reporting to the GSE Manager, the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Journeyman repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls, preforms services including inspections, oil changes and assists in the maintenance of all Calm Air International light duty, heavy-duty and automotive equipment in all locations as needed.
Complete maintenance and or services on company vehicles and ground equipment; this may include baggage carts, boarding ramps, generators, Gas, Diesel, and Electric GPU’s, Bobcats, Cat equipment, Electric, Propane, And Diesel Forklifts, Kubota Tractors, Freightliner fuel trucks, and fuel dispensing systems
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper function & performance
Maintain proper maintenance reports/documentation inside our maintenance program MTCpro
Performs routine preventive maintenance on company equipment
Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as required
Request parts and maintain inventory
Travel required to various work sites within Manitoba and Nunavut
On-site field work required
Applicants must be available to work mornings, afternoons/evenings, and weekends on a rotational basis as per operational requirements

Current Heavy-Duty Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, or comparable Red Seal
Valid class 5 driving license
Previous experience in heavy duty / automotive / aviation considered an asset
Preference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
Inuktitut language considered an asset
