Mine Closure Specialist.
CSG are partnered with a leading Global Engineering consultancy who are a leading force in the Mine closure space.
We are seeking an experienced leader to manage intricate and extensive mine closure projects. This role involves providing strategic direction and leadership to multidisciplinary teams, offering expert guidance in mine closure planning and design, and ensuring the successful achievement of project goals and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full lifecycle of mine closure planning for various mining operations, from initial concepts to detailed design, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Produce and review comprehensive technical reports, collaborate with professionals across different regions and specialties, and ensure project deliverables meet client expectations on time and within budget.
Work closely with the Mine Closure Team and other mining professionals to achieve seamless project execution.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and supporting their professional growth.
Delegate tasks effectively, offering feedback and supervision to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Manage the allocation of technical and project management resources to meet project needs and facilitate collaboration across disciplines.
Engage with clients through your established network, contributing to business development and project delivery.
Participate in global networks to exchange technical knowledge and identify new opportunities.
Promote a culture of safety in all project activities.
Required Qualifications:
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, natural resource management, geochemistry, water management, mine waste geotechnics, mining engineering, or land use planning.
Over 15 years of experience in consulting, engineering, science, or the mining industry.
At least 5 years of specialized experience in mine closure planning and design, with expertise in areas like cover design, risk evaluation, closure estimation, geochemistry, hydrogeology, water management, mine waste, revegetation, or mining engineering.
Well-connected within the mining sector and knowledgeable about the regulatory landscape in the USA.
Strong grasp of environmental and mining regulations pertinent to mine closure.
Excellent ability to analyze and summarize technical information from diverse fields.
Advanced problem-solving skills and a comprehensive understanding of mine closure processes.
Proven track record of advising clients on best practices in mine closure and communicating the implications of various closure options.
Proficient in delegating responsibilities and working with interdisciplinary teams.
Outstanding technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
Competent in managing multiple priorities effectively.
Eager to join a leading global consulting firm and contribute to a vibrant team.
Willing to travel for project assignments as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in engineering or environmental science.
Relevant professional licenses or certifications (e.g., PE, PG).
Extensive experience in reviewing and approving project documents and deliverables.
Hands-on experience with mine closure execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
