The Manager, Project Management will support the Finance organization by defining the strategic vision and roadmap for service delivery for the Finance Business Services team, maintaining effective governance over reporting, leading special projects encompassing system enhancements, process and control improvements, acquisitions and integration all with the focus to drive forward compliance for the Finance Organization to help in meeting objectives and aligning with the corporate strategy. This position calls for an individual with a strong focus on customer service, establishing a customer-centric business partnership, strong accounting knowledge (US GAAP and IFRS), a good understanding of the regulatory framework in which the company operates, as well as an understanding of regulatory accounting. The individual should also have a strong understanding of internal control over financial reporting. Experience in business process redesign, and implementation of new technology and accounting processes to increase organizational capacity and effectiveness is also preferred.
Lead or act as Finance expert on special projects, which will require collaboration in reviewing current work processes and fostering innovation in business process redesign, performance management and other operational areas to increase organizational capacity and ensure the long-term sustainability of the change initiative.
Collaborate with the different finance global process owners to setup key performance indicators (KPI’s) and service performance metrics for the team and publish the metrics to internal stakeholders. Conduct regular reviews and ensure that service qualities and KPIs are met or exceeded for each process area.
~ Direct and manage the day-to-day operations and enhancements to the Expense Management system and processes. Provide support and advise and guidance to Expense Management processing and impact to the Lines of Businesses.
Maintain a focus on Expense Management projects and oversee implementation through empowering a highly functioning team.
Oversee the Corporate Credit Carde and approval system, which includes directing and monitoring of the approval, modification, credit limits and cancellation of corporate cards through our vendor’s system. This includes the review and approval of new and change corporate credit cards as delegated by the Senior Vice President Finance.
Prepare the annual reports to the Audit Finance Committee on senior management business expenses consistent with the Policy on Employee Business Expenses and the AFC mandate. Manage and coordinate internal audit process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness, responding and escalating issues to senior management as appropriate.
Applicants must have at least 7-10 years of full-time professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, of which at least 5 years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Understanding of and experience with Regulatory Accounting and Regulatory concepts
Understanding of internal controls and related frameworks
