We are a highly motivated, collaborative team on a mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We take a person centered approach that aims to support and make a positive difference in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the President, the Multi media Designer will be developing and managing various social media platforms.PRIMARY DUTIESDevelop learning and development content based on the unique needs of deaf and deaf-blind clients that are in accordance with the team needs (including instructor-led and web-based training programsCollaborate with day program staff to plan and develop a structure for virtual learning materials using principles of instructional design for deaf clientsDevelop and maintain web-based content using established client-side web-programming languages and applicationsRecommend appropriate virtual learning strategies and materials based on learning theory for the desired project objectivesDesign and develop multimedia content for virtual learning, including audio, video, illustrations, animations, and interactive content using relevant, current and/or emerging technologiesCollaborate with subject matter experts in researching, selecting, and evaluation appropriate technologies, tools, and application to achieve project objectivesContribute as a member of an integrated team to execute the planning, delivery, and evaluation of virtual learningQUALIFICATIONSCurrently enrolled in Digital/Social Marketing or related fieldsWorking knowledge of Social Media platformsWorking knowledge of Digital Media creationWorking knowledge of Adobe Illustrator Premier and PhotoshopDigital Photography and Video experience an assetn-depth knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office an assetKnowledge of standard office administrative practices and proceduresStrong writing skills, critical thinking and an ability to work well under pressureMust be able to work flexible hours to meet internal/external requirementsExperience in project management and event planning is an assetExcellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Possesses valid Ontario full G driver’s licenseKnowledge of ASL or a willingness to learnFrench/LSQ an assetCanada Summer Jobs RequirementsMust be within 15 to 30 years of age (as per Canada Summer Jobs requirements)Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid Social Insurance NumberMust be able to commit to full 8 weeks at 30 hours per weekInterested candidates please visit contact Human Resources at careers@bobrumball.org if you need accommodation at any stage of the application process.PLEASE QUOTE JOB POSTING NUMBER YOU ARE APPLYING FOR.We thank all applicants in advance, however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Posting Date: May 17, 2024 Closing: May 31, 2024 Start Date: Immediate
