Prepare the summary of quantities according to the plans and specsand by sorting them according to the standardized sections and functionsof involved trades
Attend construction site visits and assess the difficulty of theproject to estimate;
Utilize your research skills at every stage of the process toidentify project-specific prices related to key items including labour,equipment and materials;
Invite subcontractors and, when required, send them documentspertaining to the work involved as well as grant them access to thevirtual plan room;
Grow and maintain strong relationships with trade partners,consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision
Verify content of all amounts received from suppliers andsubcontractors as well as their compliance with bid documents uponcompilation and bid closings;
Take part in and/or coordinate the various parties involved in theestimation of a design-build project;
Suggest and quantify alternatives to bid documents for the purposeof reducing construction costs of bid projects;
