Job position: Customer Service / Marketing Assistant

Job Summary : Position includes front-desk, inquiry follow-up, and assistance with project management, and bookstore operations. This can also be a 16-38hr commitment.

Responsibilities:

As the front-desk person:

• Greets clients and answers the phone in a polite and pleasant manner
• Answers queries or directs them to the appropriate staff member
• Ensures that the reception area and meeting room are kept clean and orderly
• Provides general office assistance including phone, mail, ticket and email support
• Assists clients with book sales and other small orders
• Provides excellent customer service and support
• Calls clients on job completion to coordinate delivery.
• Ensures invoices are ready before client arrives to pickup up job or job is shipped.
• Does follow-up calls to clients to ensure quality and customer service goals are met and exceeded.
• Assists with Interact/Visa/Mastercard transactions
• Other duties as required to keep a neat and active first entry experience for our clients and support for the rest of the team.

As a sales assistant,

• Assists with arranging and confirming appointments.
• Assists with correspondence and followup communication.
• Monitors orders and information requests and communicates with clients or staff as required. (Is that estimate out yet).
• Assists with book marketing
• Maintains client and prospect lists
• Assists with planning and implementation of marketing and sales plans

As the support person

• Keeps track of book inventory
• Does corrections in Word and Publisher and is the main person on MicroSoft programs.
• Compiles any needed reports
• Assists with incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Maintains an organized filing system
• Attends and records minutes for staff meetings
• Distributes minutes of staff meetings
• Assists in research
• Assists with calendar and appointments
• Orders office supplies

Conducts herself/himself in a professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Clear telephone and personal manner
• Proofreading and English skills
• Interest in publishing books and art
• Assertive, yet not abrasive. Engendering confidence.

Job Requirements:

• Proserve or other sales or customer service training preferred
• Post secondary training in marketing, general office procedures and/or previous office experience preferred.
• Self starter able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and oral English skills

Job Summary : You will be responsible for reproducing art; including image files, giclee printing and art finishing. This position requires color skill and care; and involves computer and physical work. 16-32 hours / wk (Can be full-time with additional book production or design work).

Production Responsibilities:

Files and digitizing:

• Checking supplied files for potential image quality issues
• Scanning or photo capture of art to a standard of excellence.
• Maintaining files on the server.

Printing:

• Maintaining color calibration and paper profiles
• Test and final printing use an HP z6200 photo printer driven from Onyx PosterShop

Finishing:

• Trimming and packaging
• Canvas stretching
• Dry mounting
• Matte and framing

Maintaining fine art media and supplies

Assist with housekeeping and other general help

Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.

Maintain production charts and records

Job Qualifications:

• Mechanical skills - stretching and framing
• Related experience (photo lab, framing, sign shop, ... )
• Graphic arts training
• Color theory and practice
• Communication and administration skills

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• High attention to detail and a craftsman attitude
• Manual dexterity for hand work
• Ability to cooperate and communicate with co-workers and supervisors
• Update computerized project records
• Frequent turning, bending, lifting, and standing

You will be responsible for reproducing art; including image files (scan, capture, color balance, giclee printing and art finishing (stretching, dry mounting, framing). This position requires color skill and care; and involves computer (PhotoShop, Onyx RIP) computer, HP design jet printers and physical work (coating, stretching). 

Currently part-time with the option to combine with additional graphic production for full-time. Previous photo, color lab, graphic design, experience or training required.

Bookkeeper 

Flexible, can be combined with the customer care position for full-time.

Job Summary : Position includes AR/AP clerical, bookkeeping, relief for front-desk/customer care/project management.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors orders and information requests and communicates with vendors, clients or staff as required.
• Ensures invoices are ready before client arrives to pickup up job or job is shipped.
• Enters client payments into CRM. Assists with Interact/Visa/Mastercard transactions
• Reports or follows-up on outstanding invoices
• Compiles any needed reports and compliance documents
• Conducts herself/himself in a professional manner at all times.
• Assists with general office assistance including phone, mail, ticket and email support

Job Qualifications:

• Understanding of general accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills
• Clear telephone and personal manner
• Interest in publishing, books and art
• Assertive, yet not abrasive. Engendering confidence.

Job Requirements:

Job Summary : Operate bindery equipment to process finished printed products.. Includes handwork and parcel shipping. 16-32 hours / wk. Can be combined with other positions for full time.

Production Responsibilities:

Machine set up and operation:

• Set up and fine tuning of equipment to insure quality and efficiency
• Inspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacement
• Constantly monitor quality of finished product
• Be responsible for general maintenance and lubrication of machines
