Venor is proud to partner with Elmwood Group Home Hardware in their search for a Warehouse & Yard Supervisor. Reporting to the Logistics Development Manager, the Warehouse & Yard Supervisor is responsible for all warehouse operations and inventory control.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate and oversee daily activities such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Ensure all processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability for fulfilling orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as logistics, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
  • Foster a positive work environment, provide coaching and support to team members, and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and safety incidents, for management review

An ideal candidate will perform tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to ensure courteous and prompt customer service is maintained at all times.The candidate will be a proven leader of people, great communication skills and a self starter.

The successful candidate for this role is someone with proven experience (3 years) in warehouse management, preferably in the building material industry. You will have proficient computer skills and organizational and time management skills. You will have demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a Distribution Center and have excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
