Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: Greater Toronto Area Reports to: Managing Director / CEO About Naan Kabob Naan Kabob is more than a restaurant brand. It is a community built around hospitality, consistency, and care. What started as a family-driven idea has grown into a multi-location business with ambitious plans for the future. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who believes in building strong teams, improving how things work, and helping people succeed together. About the Role The COO is a senior leadership role for someone who enjoys both structure and people. This person does not need to have done everything before, but must bring solid experience, curiosity, and a genuine passion for growth. You will work closely with the leadership team to strengthen operations, support expansion, and create clarity across the organization. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking about the bigger picture. What You Will Be Responsible For Leading the Business Day-to-Day • Support the smooth running of daily operations across the company • Help teams stay aligned, focused, and supported • Improve consistency in execution, service, and guest experience • Bring calm, structure, and clarity during busy or changing periods Building People and Leaders • Coach and mentor managers and emerging leaders • Create an environment where people feel accountable and supported • Help define clear roles, expectations, and development paths • Strengthen leadership culture across locations Improving Systems and Processes • Identify gaps and opportunities in how the business operates • Help implement simple, effective systems that scale • Encourage continuous improvement without overcomplication • Balance structure with flexibility as the company grows Supporting Growth and Expansion • Work with leadership on new location openings and franchising • Help ensure growth happens in a healthy, sustainable way • Protect brand values and standards as the business scales • Support cross-functional collaboration during expansion Partnering with the Leadership Team • Work closely with Finance, Operations, Training, Marketing, and People teams • Contribute to planning, problem-solving, and decision-making • Communicate clearly and respectfully across the organization • Be a trusted partner to founders and senior leaders Who You Are • An experienced leader with a background in operations, general management, or a related field • Someone who enjoys developing people and improving how things work • Passionate about hospitality, service, and team culture • Calm under pressure and comfortable with change • Practical, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented • Motivated by growth, learning, and building something meaningful What Success Looks Like • Teams feel clearer, more confident, and better supported • Operations become more consistent and predictable • Leaders grow into stronger versions of themselves • Growth feels organized, not chaotic • The company is set up for long-term success
