The City of Delta’s Engineering Operations services Delta’s three communities: Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. Exciting opportunities and challenges are provided to those with energy and versatility. We are seeking reliable, self-motivated and flexible team players with experience and/or training to perform a variety of tasks in a range of labouring positions including:

  • General Labourers
  • Utility Workers
  • Operation Service Workers
  • Equipment Operators
  • Engineering Construction
  • Sign Maintenance Worker

Your duties will vary in these positions and you will be responsible for performing manual and semi-skilled tasks. You must have the ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently without direct supervision. Good physical condition with the ability to perform heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions is required. Public relations and interpersonal skills are essential for success in these positions.

A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record is required as well as familiarity with driving pickup trucks or larger vehicles. In order to be considered for this position, candidates must submit a current Driver’s Record showing five years history along with their application. Applications submitted without a Driver’s Record will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered. Please have this document ready to upload when you apply. Preference may be given to those who have completed training or courses in relation to public works. Successful candidates will be selected based on the experience and skills related to the job.
