The Buyer is accountable for procuring materials in accordance with the organization's strategy. The preferred candidate should possess prior purchasing expertise in a similar environment, managing the procurement of high-quality materials and maintaining vendor relationships. Source high-quality seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and other materials required for greenhouse operations.
Work with purchasing team to negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
Keep track of stock levels and place orders as necessary to avoid any disruptions in operations.
Ensure materials are received and distributed to support operations including working with the warehouse team to ensure proper receiving procedures are being followed and monthly inventory management for greenhouse supplies and fertilizers in Delta.
Perform vendor analysis and monitoring performance of inventory, including monthly reconciliation of disposal bills for accuracy, pricing, and cost allocation.
Perform Year End Fertilizer & Crop Supplies Inventory count and valuation.
Continuously develop supplier base to improve on-time delivery, cost, and quality to ensure the Company’s supply levels are met.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in purchasing, preferably in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Retail, Logistics, Grocery and or similar sectors
Experience with overseas purchasing is a requirement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant purchasing software.
Hybrid style working after probation
