We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a vital role in facilitating the agile development process, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of our projects. This is a remote position based in Canada, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home.
Agile Facilitation: Act as a servant leader and coach for the development team, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies. Facilitate Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Foster a collaborative and self-organizing environment where team members are empowered to make decisions, take ownership, and deliver high-quality work. Agile Process Management: Ensure that the Scrum framework is followed consistently and that the team is using agile best practices. Help the team to define and track sprint goals, monitor progress, and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Help the team to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and address any conflicts or challenges that may arise.
Identify opportunities for enhancing the development process, optimizing team performance, and increasing overall productivity. Track and analyze project metrics, such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle time. Provide regular reports to the team and management, highlighting progress, risks, and areas for improvement.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an agile software development environment.
Scrum Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
Strong Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Scrum principles and agile methodologies. Familiarity with other agile frameworks such as Kanban is a plus.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment. Able to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Remote Work: Demonstrated experience working remotely and effectively managing distributed teams.
Technical Background: Basic understanding of software development concepts and technologies is desirable.
