Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a K-12 Provincial Online Learning School, providing fully accredited, Christian education to students in BC. As one of Western Canada’s largest online schools, we connect teachers with families and students to provide guidance and support via personalized, online, and face-to-face options.

HCOS has an opening for a Community Connections (CC) Registrarand Data Clerk working with the Learning Groups (LG) team. This is a part-time permanent position at 28 hours per week . The primary role of this position is to provide support and assistance in the area of Community Connections (CC) application creation, student records management, budget reconciliation updates, data entry and other duties as needed.

As the Community Connections (CC) Registrar, & Data Clerk your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Work with Community Connections including collaboration with CC Coordinators
  • Oversee CC, CC+ and Extended Learning Camps application and data input
  • Support Learning Groups team with Application process
  • Help students and families and coordinators feel supported
  • Assist with volunteer CRC process for CC’s
  • Follow up with support documentation
  • Assist with LG finance in data entry and financial reconciliation
  • Assist LG Admin and LG Office when needed

We are looking for someone with the following Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated commitment and lifestyle reflective of KCCS Foundational Beliefs
  • Experience in remote office environment
  • Financial literacy and data entry or accounting experience
  • Ability to prioritize workload and flexibility to manage multiple tasks to ensure scheduled deadlines are met
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to build relationships and work with team, coordinators and service providers
  • Must be flexible, well organized and detailed oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong technological skills including spreadsheets (and creating formulas) and an aptitude for learning new platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google Workspace, Zoom, Trello and willing to learn internal systems (e.g. Alfresco, SOPHIE, Cvent, and coding within the LG Website)

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remote work – 28hours/weekwithflexiblebutconsistentdaytimeofficehoursovertheweekwithoccasionaleveningasneeded
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Occasional travel to meetings and conferences, as required
