*Wheelchair Accessible Transit (WAT)* is a leader in transportation for those with accessibility needs across Ontario. Help us give back to the community by providing regular or specialized transportation to students in Muskoka. This is a perfect opportunity for retirees, parents, or those looking for permanent part-time work (187 days/ school year).

You are guaranteed $90/ day for 4 hours a day (6:45-8:45 AM & 2:45-4:45 PM), even if your route takes less time. The total average route time is 2 hours/ day.

*Responsibilities*:
- Safely operate a school bus, to provide students with home to school transportation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, while following safe driving practices
- Communicate with students to ensure bus rules and policies are being followed
- Communicate professionally with school staff to address concerns
- Perform and note daily trip inspections and complete hours of service records
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle's interior, and ensure vehicle's safe operation

*Skills*:
- Mechanical Knowledge: ability to perform daily inspections of the bus (will train)
- Customer Service: provide consistent and reliable transportation each school day
- Communication: effectively communicate with staff members and passengers
- Writing: ability to fill out daily inspection booklets, hours of service records and student behaviour reports (pink slips)

Note: a valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position.

*Free - B License Upgrade Training & Testing*

Driver Referral Bonus Available - $250-500/ successful applicant referred

*Licence/ Certifications:*
* *Ontario Commercial Driver's Licence* (B/ E Licence) - we will train and upgrade your Ontario G Driver's Licence (or higher) to a B Licence for free
* *Clean - Ontario 3-Year Driver's Record* (Uncertified)
* *Clear - Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)* - Agency Letter will be provided (Keep receipt for reimbursement after receiving paychecks)
* *Emergency First-Aid with CPR-C Certification* (Paid Training Available)
* *Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Certificate* - Available Free Online

Work Location: Muskoka Area - Surrounding Bracebridge (Allensville/ Gravenhurst/ Bala/ Burk's Falls/ Kearney) and Huntsville (Allensville/ South Waseosa Lake/ Sprucedale)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
