Information Security Specialist

JD Canada is looking for an Information Security Specialist to add to our IT group. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and enforcing data security policies, conducting regular audits, and implementing security solutions. You'll provide training and support to staff, respond to security incidents, and collaborate with the IT team on cross-functional projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and awareness, promoting a culture of security throughout the organization.
- Respond to security incidents promptly, conducting investigation, implementing solutions, and reporting findings as necessary.
- Collaborate with the IT team on cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring security is integrated into all systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in information security.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and database security.
- Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
