Blackline Safety is seeking a PCBA Process Technologist to join the Process Manufacturing team. The position is full-time and is based at our Company's head office in Ramsay, Calgary. Reporting to the Manager of SMT Production -SMT Process Engineer is responsible to prepare, support and monitor PCB Assembly processes. Develop documents and design fixtures for production. This is a full time, onsite role.
Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience in Dek printer, SPI, AOI, Siplace operation and programming would be an asset.
Minimum of 3 years SMT process support engineering.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), First Pass Yield (FPY), Design of Experiments (DOE), 8 Disciplines (8D), and support of the "one product, one process" concept is required.
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles would be an asset.
Develop, measure and track PCBA performance and quality through SPC, DPMO and FPY
Create support Document to aid in processes and quality control.
Provide technical support to PCBA team on quality and process concerns.
Engage in developing Design for Manufacturing rules and guidelines.
Troubleshoot machine performance/breakdown issue.
Develop PFMEA - Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis to every product.
Initiate problem-solving sessions to identify, resolve issues affecting line efficiency and quality.
Works with production to ensure efficient operation to meet production schedules.
Analyze and perform PCBA board failure analysis as needed.
