Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Ottawa, ON (3 days a week in office downtown)

Job Type: Contract, 6 months with possible extension

Our client, an educational institution focusing on higher education and research, seeks an IT Project Manager experienced in Workday for an ongoing ERP implementation and legacy application decommissioning.

Bilingual in French and English preferred but not required

Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of assigned information technology projects within budget, on schedule, in accordance with the approved scope, all within established project methodologies. They will contribute to the delivery of the program of projects by working collaboratively with the Management team on the Program advancement and by leading various portions of projects.

Project Management:

  • Manage the delivery of assigned information technology projects through all states of project life cycle from initiation to project close out to ensure project outputs are being delivered as per project objectives, on schedule, to budget and to the required quality.
  • Identify and manage all project issues and risks to mitigate impacts on projects.
  • Escalate more complex issues and risks to the Senior Project Manager, Program Director and Program Managers for guidance or resolution.

Project Delivery:

  • Assists with the implementation of workflow changes in operations by ensuring smooth technology solution transition.
  • Supports users in integrating new systems in their work environment and adapt their business process to the requirements of the new systems.
