This position is within WSP's environmental division (Mining Engineering and Geology). This division provides a full range of services to industrial and mining operators, including all engineering services. The intern will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the planning and execution of local and international mining projects.

A day in the life:
- Participate in design reviews of mining projects;
- Evaluate new technologies, mining methods and mine designs;
- Analyze data and select mine design parameters;
- Participate in technical studies on mining projects;
- Assist in the preparation of bids for underground and open pit mining project evaluations and technical reports (PEA, PFS, FS or other);
- Participate in the design of ventilation circuits for underground mines using Ventsim software;
- Collaborate in the design of mines using specialized software such as Deswik (asset);
- Request budgetary prices for mining equipment or others;
- Assist project managers as needed;
- Perform all other related tasks that may help in the realization of the project

- Student in mining engineering;
- Rigor, sense of initiative, attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Experience with Deswik is an asset;
- Experience in mining operations considered an asset;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Flexible to travel.
