Job Title: Facilities Technician (Intermediate)
Location: Airdrie, AB
Start Date: May 1st
Duration: 12 months

What you’ll do:
  • Respond to One-Call tickets, locate and mark pipeline and pipeline ROW and managing pipeline crossings with third parties.
  • Perform routine operating and maintenance duties at the company’s facilities; Assist other technicians, as required.
  • Respond to emergency situations; With minimal direction, utilize and maintain prints; Operate and maintain test equipment; Perform routine pipeline maintenance.
  • Ensure work tasks and duties comply with HS&E policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
  • Execute on emergency man******ment (preparedness and response) procedures for work locations.
  • Perform other tasks, as required.



Qualifications:

  • Background in line locating.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret data received via One-Call Tickets.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge around buried facility locating and One-Call processes including CER regulations and industry best practices.
  • Computer experience required - skills and experience to navigate various Windows-based software and ERP system.
  • Consult maps, files, prints, GIS (Geographic Facility Information System), and other applicable software to verify work areas & conflict areas.
  • High School/GED diploma.
