Health Futures is seeking a talented and experienced ML/AI Senior Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative machine learning solutions that leverage large datasets. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced machine learning pipelines for various tasks, including:
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) : Enhancing text analytics capabilities using state-of-the-art models such as BERT, RoBERTa, and transformers (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy, NLTK, Gensim).
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) : Implementing and optimizing text extraction from documents and images using advanced tools like Tesseract, EasyOCR, and proprietary software for higher accuracy in diverse formats.
  • Computer Vision : Leading projects in image and video analysis using frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow Object Detection API, and PyTorch for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, and automated image tagging. Develop and implement computer vision techniques for document image preprocessing and data extraction from scanned documents, including checkboxes.
  • Develop, train, and optimize machine learning models on frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn to ensure high performance, scalability, and robustness.
  • Integrate and deploy ML models in production environments using Azure Machine Learning, ensuring seamless scalability and maintainability across cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define technical requirements, data strategies, and deployment methodologies.
  • Document and maintain thorough documentation for machine learning solutions, including model development, training methodology, and deployment details.
  • Mentor junior developers and data scientists, promoting a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing machine learning solutions, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with .NET for integrating ML solutions with existing enterprise systems.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Machine Learning, as well as familiarity with other cloud services like AWS SageMaker and Google Cloud AI Platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement NLP and computer vision projects with modern technologies such as Hugging Face, OpenCV, and neural network architectures.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying scalable machine learning solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience in applying large language models (e.g., OpenAI GPT-3, Jurassic-1 Jumbo, BLOOM, Mistral, Llama etc,) to real-world problems or Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) would be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare domain, dealing with clinical data, privacy concerns, and regulatory compliance is highly advantageous.
