This offers an opportunity to have a holistic and integrated approach to care, improving experiences for both providers and Participants.The purpose of our Rehabilitation Program is to provide effective Veteran-centered care that responds to the medical, psycho-social and vocational rehabilitation needs of eligible Canadian Forces Veterans. The goal is to help reduce barriers in relation to a participant’s eligible health problem(s) and to help adjust to life at home, in community or at work. The rehabilitation plan is intended to be short term and goal focused to restore function to the extent possible. Education and licensureMaster’s Degree or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited universityCurrent registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of PsychologistsIndividual professional liability insurance required at time of employmentApplied experienceConducting formal diagnostic psychological assessments with adults, including writing integrative psychological assessment reports.Training and experience in evidence based treatment modalities for PTSD (e.g., Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR)Experience working with special populations including military service members, veterans, or first responders.Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers is considered an assetUtilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an assetAdditional abilitiesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAble to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teamsEfficient with required clinical documentationAble to manage a diverse caseload within dynamic work settingDemonstrated work ethics, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibilityBuild a career while making a differenceYou will provide top quality whole-person care using a client-centered bio-psycho-social approach with both interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams (i.e., physiotherapy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, vocational rehab specialist, case coordinators) and interdisciplinary mental health teams (psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists).Your work will make a difference to the lives Canadian Veterans, whose service-related health conditions limits their functioning in civilian life, as well as to employees in organizations focused on workplace health, and insured employees and private payers reaching out on their own for support for their mental health concerns.You will find purpose in this role by:Conducting formal psychological assessments to inform diagnosis, guide treatment planning, employment suitability recommendations, and inform resource building for participants.Delivering individual and group treatment for conditions using evidence based treatment modalities.Consultation with other mental health service providers and clinical interdisciplinary teamsContributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussionsContributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national levelCO-MH-VT
