Venor is proud to further our partnership with our client Graybar and assist in their search for a Business Development Specialist – Solar & Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) for their Ontario location – Kitchener office but would consider within the GTA and surrounding areas. 
Graybar Canada – a division of Graybar Electric US – is a leader in the distribution of high-quality electrical automation and telecommunications products that support these operations through related supply chain management and logistics services. Graybar operates more than 250 Distribution Facilities throughout North America, with over 30 branches across Canada alone. The Business Development Specialist – Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) will identify and develop new business opportunities in the energy marketplace with a focus on solar and BESS projects across Canada.
This is a great opportunity to bring leads on and manage those leads through the full sales cycles until project completion. Reporting to the National Sales Manager (who is also based in the Kitchener office) you are treated as a professional and empowered and trusted as a Business Development Specialist to make the right decisions  Core Competencies:

Evaluate core supplier’s offerings and position their product in customer’s projects.
Devise strategies and techniques to achieve growth targets
Participate in training sessions, trade shows and sales meetings as required.
Provide ongoing project status updates with all parties throughout the design.
Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in an engineering or energy field preferred.
A track record of delivering sales growth and experience in negotiating high-value equipment supply contracts.
In-depth knowledge of operational processes, technology and people management techniques.
Knowledge of Commercial/contract law.
Strong time management, reporting, prioritization and follow-up skills.
Strong computer software skills (word and Excel), combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals
