Who are we looking for? We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer (Intermediate) to join one of our GTA or Waterloo offices. To be successful, you must have minimum 5-10 years of experience involved in the design and implementation of electrical systems.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  1. Completing condition assessments for various facilities including report writing and participation in client meetings.
  2. Preparing detailed design drawing packages for projects of varying scale, including some the following:
    1. Utility interconnection
    2. Substation design support
    3. Electrical system protection and coordination
    4. MV power distribution
    5. and more...
  3. Completion and review of electrical design calculations.
  4. Electrical systems modelling using ETAP, SKM or Easy Power.
  5. Interior and Exterior Lighting systems modelling
  6. Preparation of contract documentation including equipment specifications, cable/conduit schedules, installation specifications, equipment procurement documents, sub-contractor requisitions, scope-of-work, bill-of-materials, and process narratives.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and possess a license. (Mandatory)
  • 5-10 years of experience involved in the design and implementation of electrical systems including power distribution, standby power & generators, motors and drives, lighting, as well as solid understanding of field instrumentation and automated equipment integration. (Mandatory)
  • Fire Alarm systems design experience will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and standards, US codes and standards, relevant industry standards and regulations.
