As an Intermediate Facility Integrity Compliance Engineer with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-paced group of Engineers. The role will manage the development, implementation and maintenance of the Facility Integrity Management Program (FIMP) as an element of Trans Mountain's Integrated Safety and Loss Management System (ISLMS). Primary responsibilities will focus on supporting the Facility Integrity and the various elements of the FIMP, including technical standards, procedures and project execution documents.

This position will be based in Calgary and will report to Manager of Facility Integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the FIMP as an element of the Trans Mountain Integrated Safety and Loss Management System.
  • Organize and contribute to the updating of Facility Integrity standards or procedures
  • Identify requirements of the Facility Integrity Management Program and implement necessary changes and improvements
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts by preparing for, attending and responding to audits (both internal and external)
  • Provide technical support to Operations, Engineering and other Trans Mountain stakeholders, as required
  • Manage third party consultants and vendors
  • Provide assistance in the management of facility integrity records and databases

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (any discipline)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Pipeline or Oil/Gas industry
  • P.Eng Designation with Association of Professionals in Engineering and Geoscience in Alberta (APEGA) is required
  • Proven experience working in a Compliance-focused environment is required
  • Proven technical writing experience is required
  • Pipeline and/or Facility engineering experience is preferred
  • Experience working in an operating environment is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to navigate and facilitate difficult conversations.
