Product Owner - Project Manager (Contract Position)

Number of Positions: 2 Filled: 0 Duration: 12 months

Location: Oakville, ON, CA

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Hybrid position, 3d/w onsite in Oakville mandatory

Roles and responsibilities:

Champion Product-Centric Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of software

products and infrastructure projects, transitioning the organization from a project-

based mindset to a dynamic, product-focused approach.

 Collaborate Globally: Partner with in-house and offshore development and

infrastructure teams to craft solution designs, provide accurate development

estimates, enforce compliance with standards, and ensure high-quality

implementations.

As a Project Manager, you will serve as the primary Solutions Delivery contact for

stakeholders and be accountable for developing, leading, and overseeing the end-to-

end delivery of products and IT infrastructure solutions.

We are seeking individuals with a strong technical background and knowledge in cloud-

native development, DevOps, .NET technologies, and IT infrastructure projects. The

ideal candidate will combine expertise in software and infrastructure delivery with

exceptional leadership and project management skills to drive high-quality solutions in a

fast-paced environment. You will oversee the entire software development and

infrastructure lifecycle, ensuring an outcome-based delivery while maintaining high

performance, security, and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

 Technical Leadership: Work closely with engineering, architecture, and

infrastructure teams to identify optimal solutions, define implementation methods,

and set realistic schedules to ensure timely product launches and IT

infrastructure deployments.

Must have skills and experience:

Skills & Experience

 Minimum University Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.

 5+ years of experience in software engineering, IT infrastructure, or technical project delivery roles.

 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering and infrastructure teams.

 Strong technical background, ideally coming from a development background

 Proficiency in modern cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure (Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure DevOps).

 Experience managing IT infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, network upgrades, security enhancements, and data center transformations.

 Budgeting and financial management, scope management, risk and issue management skills.

 Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and project management frameworks.

 Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and transitioning legacy systems.

 A track record of delivering complex software and IT infrastructure solutions in high-paced, collaborative environments.
