Our client is recruiting for a Law Clerk to join their Labour and Employment team.You will be a key member of a dynamic and innovative group of lawyers, paraprofessionals and legal support staff, providing the highest level of service to clients, while having the opportunity to cultivate your skills as part of our successful national team. Draft key documentation such as pleadings, contracts, mediation briefs, motions, affidavits of documents, undertakings, document briefs and cost outlines for the various administrative bodies
Liaise with court staff and clerks at the various administrative bodies, such as Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board and Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal
Be responsible for matter management and data management, including scoping and budgeting
3+ years’ of relevant working experience as a law clerk; labour & employment and arbitration-specific experience will be an asset
~ College Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks Ontario Certificate
~ Strong knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules of the Small Claims Court, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and Ontario Labour Relations Board
~ Bilingual with strong written and oral communication skills in both French and English, an asset
~ Knowledge of iManage, ACL, CaseLines, Relativity, Kofax Power PDF, Word, Excel, and Outlook
