About the Opportunity

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Bilingual Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator to join a dynamic and collaborative team on a permanent basis. In addition to a competitive salary, the client is also offering a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working hours, and free, onsite parking.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Act as a first point of contact for all Health and Safety inquiries
  2. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors in responding to safety concerns, hazards or infractions and implement corrective action if required
  3. Assist the Manager in implementing compliance updates
  4. Develop, manage, and administer the Health and Safety Program in collaboration with Health and Safety Committees as required
  5. Work closely with supervisors and joint health and safety committees to ensure prompt investigation of all accident/incident reports, and that recommendations for corrective actions are appropriately and consistently put into effect
  6. Assist with the accident and injury reporting system and management system for workers compensation as required by law
  7. Maintain claims management records and reports
  8. Identify health and safety training requirements, making recommendations to the Manager
About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Fluent bilingualism in English and French a must
  • Ideally 2+ years of related experience in a relevant Occupational Health and Safety position
  • Successful completion of a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited institution a strong asset, but an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Reliability security clearance
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety Management Systems and demonstrated understanding of Health & Safety legislation
About the Job

The client is offering a starting salary of $70,000 to $85,000 dependent on experience. The role will require the successful candidate to work in the office five days a week and offers free, onsite parking and flexible working hours.
