LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Tester for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work LocationThe successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON. Key TasksAssist Senior Test Lead with organization of Testing plans in MS Azure DevOps (ADO) and mentoring of the junior members of the Testing TeamEnsure proper testing coverage for the following Testing Types:ERP System’s Testing o Integration System Testing (IST)Security TestingPortal and Accessibility TestingData Migration TestingFunctional End to End TestingConfiguration Testing o Mobile Devices TestingRegression TestingBusiness Process/Flow TestingUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)Execute Test plans, Test suite and Test cases, as per industry standards, for the full implementationProvide test execution and status reports, updating test execution statuses in Azure DevOps (including test cases, defects/bugs, or issues)Prepare and document Test Cases in Azure DevOps from Business and/or Functional Requirements (BRDs/FRDs), including prep test data, test steps and expected results, screens and additional documents as required. Linkage to requirements (RTM, DevOps), as well as linkage to defect/bugs found with examplesPrepare and document defects/bugs, including issues/defect entries and tracking in MS DevOps, including full reproducing steps and screens, and follow-up to resolution (including retest to closure)Analyze and communicate ERP requirements, Test cases or defects/bugs found, to the Development team and/or Functional teamsProvide technical training as required to other more junior Test team members Key Qualifications12+ years experience performing integration systems testing, creating test cases in Azure DevOps, including BRDs/FRDs, executing test cases, logging defects/bugs and providing status updates/reporting daily in DevOpsTools expertise in Defect and Test Case Management (including MS Azure DevOps, JIRA or equivalent), including linkage in terms of RTMDemonstrated experience in SaaS and COTS products, Azure Cloud and API (UI) testing QualificationsUniversity degree or College diploma from an accredited institutionDemonstrated experience working with multi-functional/multi-site teamsDemonstrated expertise in software bugs identification, problem solving and root cause analysis skillsExperience in functional, integration, regression and non-functional (NFRs) testingTools expertise in Defect and Test Case Management (including MS Azure DevOps, JIRA or equivalent), including linkage in terms of RTMCapable of understanding complex systems and the inter-dependencies with subsystems/applications for integrationExperience in Performance, Load/Performance testing, Accessibility and Mobile device testingDemonstrated experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologiesAdvance skillsets with Microsoft Excel (and Smartsheet), Word, Visio and PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Teams AssetsPrevious experience with a Student Information System About LeverageTek IT SolutionsThank you for taking the time to apply Since our company’s inception in March 2003, LeverageTek IT Solutions has worked resolutely to become one of the industry’s most recognized and trusted suppliers of technology staffing and business consulting services.
