Job description

As a Lead DevOps you will be required to plan, design,and implement local and cloud infrastructure for CICD and other form ofautomation related to various project, including but not limited to automatedtestbench, report generation etc.

You will work closely with our ASIC, Firmware and QAteam to elaborate CICD process and testbench to best suit their need. It mayinclude some hardware in the loop infrastructure. Some tasks may also includeevaluating possibility to deploy part of our CI/CD pipeline in the cloud andinterconnect some of our tools together. This role is crucial to enhance ourworkflow, and thus we require someone with good experience that will put inplace procedure and know best practice.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Communicatingwith the IT department for deployment of the required infrastructure for theDevOps need.
  • Elaboratingprocedure and optimizing workflow to put in place state of the art and bestpractice when it comes to CICD.
  • Considersecurity aspect of our CICD so no key information is leaked in our CICD.
  • Researchand evaluate offloading some of our CICD in the cloud.
  • Writingand optimizing Docker image.
  • Writingand optimizing GitLab CICD pipeline and/or Jenkins.
  • Interconnectingdifferent tools together.
  • Writingdifferent script to use API of those different tools (ex; Microsoft Graph API).
  • Creatingand exposing new API and webhooks to our in-house tools.
  • Workingwith container-based technology (Docker, Docker swarm, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Automatingreport generation.
  • Integratingtest result into database.
  • WritingAPI and front end to access some of our test report.
  • Participatingin the development of different project to make product designed to be testedand be part of a CICD cycle.
  • Mentor/Trainfurther people in DevOps.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Computer Engineering, SoftwareEngineering, IT Engineering, or related field at university level.
  • 5+ years of experience inDevOps.
  • Writing shell script (Bash, Powershell,etc.)
  • Experience writing CICDpipeline script using some popular platform like GitLab, Jenkins, Github, AzureCICD, etc.
  • Experience in C programming(Or related language).
  • Experience in Python andother scripting language.
  • Experience using database.
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux,and basic knowledge of windows.
  • Experience withvirtualization and container technologies (VMware, KVM, Docker).
  • Knowledge of some monitoring& logging tools like Graylog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • Knowledge of some infrastructureautomation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt...) is a plus.
  • Experience in embedded systemis a plus.
  • Some general knowledge andskill with embedded system to facilitate collaboration with other department.
  • Hardware in the loop.
  • Test procedure.
  • Good oral and writtencommunication and presentation skills (French and English).
  • Ability to work effectivelywith a team of developers.
  • Ability to multi-task, setproject priorities, establish task focused goals and objectives for self andshow initiative.
  • Write clean, understandable,robust, and sustainable code.

Work conditions
