The Estimator is responsible for the completion of detailed cost estimates, accurate building take-offs and competitive tenders that result in profitable and successful projects.
Role Purpose:
The Estimator is responsible for the completion of detailed cost estimates, accurate building take-offs and competitive tenders that result in profitable and successful projects. Additionally, the Estimator is responsible to facilitate the successful completion of orders from receiving purchase orders (P.O's) through delivery, this can include working with the external client, and internal resources.
Key Accountabilities:
Work with Product Sales team to develop quotations and proposals.
Prepare professional sales documents such as RFQs.
Support the achievement of departmental revenue and margin targets.
Collaborate with Sales team to provide updates for sales forecasts.
Maintain customer profiles, contacts, and records in internal systems.
Respond to requests and orders from customers.
Conduct customers follow-ups to build and maintain relationships.
Create customer orders in ERP system.
Assist in the management of third-party yards, monitoring inventory levels, sending pack lists and shipping items in visual as required.
Process customer payments and provide receipts.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client requirements are met.
Prepare inventory forecasts, and maintain min and max levels.
Assist with creating marketing materials as required.
Represent Almita at networking event such as trade shows and training with customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
~ Degree or diploma in Business, Construction Management or a related field.
~2 - 3 years estimating or sales experience in construction environments with a focus on Oil & Gas, Power Transmission & Distribution, or Commercial Construction an asset
~ Experience in order taking within a fast-paced environment.
~ Experience working with CRM and ERP Systems.
~ Remote work environment with the expectation of one travel day to Ponoka AB a week.
~ Occasional additional travel may be required which may include visits to industrial area.
~ Fast paced with tight deadlines.
~ Regular work schedule based on 40 hour work week.
~ On-call duties/after-hours support
~ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as per company and client policies.
