JOB SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a skilled Agriculture Mechanic to join their team and support dairy farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture, strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repair. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to the success of their farm.

JOB DUTIES

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment, including tractors, milking machines, feeders, and other machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities
  • Collaborate with farm management and other team members to prioritize tasks and meet operational needs
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on the farm

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as an Agriculture Mechanic or similar role, preferably in a dairy farm or agricultural setting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of farm equipment
  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery, including tractors, milking systems, and irrigation systems
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in equipment maintenance and repair
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed, especially during peak seasons
